Carlos Arango is the Executive Director of Casa Aztlan, one of the oldest community organizations in Chicago’s Mexican-Pilsen neighborhood. Carlos has been involved in the immigrant rights movement for the last 30 years as the Chicago Coordinator of CASA General Brotherhood of Workers, co-founder of the Midwest Coalition in Defense of Immigrants, and co-founder of The United Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights. Carlos is active in the March 10 movement that organized the immigration marches last year. Carlos attended law school in Mexico and was involved in the struggle for voting rights for Mexicans abroad.
