Beatriz Ibarra is the Assets Policy Analyst at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), where she does research, analysis, and advocacy for financial security issues affecting Latino families. Prior to joining the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., Ibarra worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Kathleen A. Forsyth, and as a legislative researcher for Kansas State Senator Chris Steineger. She has advocated for Latino and low-income individuals as a student public defender and Legal Aid attorney in Lawrence, Kansas, and as a law clerk at the Immigrant Legal Resource Center in San Francisco, California. Ibarra holds a J.D. from the University of Kansas Law School and a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish from the University of Kansas.
