Anisha Desai oversees United for a Fair Economy's Programs-Fair Taxation, Racial Wealth Divide and Economic Equality Popular Education-- as well as the organization's Operations and Communications efforts. She co-authored UFE's report Nothing to Be Thankful For: Tax Cuts and the Deteriorating US Job Market and State of the Dream Report 2007: Voting in the Blue, Staying in the Red. With a background in education, youth development, community organizing and social justice work, Anisha directed a Social Justice program at a San Francisco independent high school prior to her arrival at UFE. Anisha was a recipient of a Fulbright Grant to travel to Rwanda where she studied post-genocide reconciliation. She sits on the board of directors of the Women of Color Resource Center in Oakland.
