Alison Cordero


Alison Cordero grew up in Rockland County, and was an activist from her teenage years in the UFW grape boycott, the coop, antiwar and environmental movements and local Democratic politics. Alison came to work as a planning intern at St. Nicholas Neighborhood Preservation Council in 1985. She has held various posts at St. Nicholas as a community and tenant organizer and planner and is currently the Deputy Director for Community Preservation. Her most recent work focused on the Greenpoint/Williamsburg rezoning, and environmental justice in solid waste planning. She graduated from Pratt Institute with a Masters in City and Regional Planning in 1992.
