ALBERTO RETANA is the Director of Organizing at the Community Coalition. He joined in 1998 as an organizer for Community Coalition’s youth project, South Central Youth Empowered through Action (SC-YEA), and became Director of Organizing in 2000. In 2005 he coordinated Mayor Antonio Villairagosa citywide Latino Occasional Voter Field Operation during his succesful election campaign. Retana is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Latin American Studies and Political Science.
