Mildred Thompson, Senior Director and Director of the PolicyLink Center on Health and Place, leads the work of the organization's health team. Prior to joining PolicyLink, Mildred was Director of Alameda County Public Health Department's Community Health Services Division. She has degrees in Nursing, Psychology and Social Work, has taught at Mills College and San Francisco State University, and has worked as an Organizational Development Consultant. She serves on several boards and commissions including: Alameda County's First Five Commission, the Zellerbach Family Foundation and was recently appointed as a member of the Institute of Medicine's Roundtable on Health Disparities.
