Lori Villarosa is the Director of the Philanthropic Institute for Racial Equity and has worked in philanthropy for more than 16 years. She is a former program officer with the C. S. Mott Foundation, where she led the development of the Foundation's U.S. Race Relations grantmaking. She sits on a number of boards, including Social Justice Fund-Northwest; the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, which focuses on economic development; education, and economic, social and racial justice throughout Arkansas; and the Paul J. Aicher Foundation, an operating foundation whose primary program is the Study Circles Resource Center. She is also a member of the Program Committee of the Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE) and a member of the Research Advisory Board of a Joint Hispanics in Philanthropy/ABFE Project. From 1997 through 2002, she served on the national board of Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, as Chair in 2000-2002.
